My thoughts about Ace Young as Kenickie
I know there are so many recaps and I was expecting Ace to be great as Kenickie BUT he was 100 times better that any recap can possibly express! I was so proud to be there watching him. I still can’t get over how awesome he is on stage. It took me a bit to see Ace as Kenickie esp with that big smile of his in parts of the show but by the end of the weekend I really got lost in his character. Kenickie goes through so many emotions during the show. He is a “Bad a$$”, a prankster, he is jealous, and hurt, then mad, and finally happy. Ace plays each emotion of Kenickie to a tee! It is really amazing to see how his facial expressions and voice make you feel each emotion that Kenickie feels. He is such a natural performer! Did I say how proud I am of him? lol.
On to Greased Lightning, the HIGHLIGHT of the show without a doubt! Ace ownes this scene and always will! This is the HOTTEST thing ever and Ace makes the most out of every second with that car. The crowd really responds well to him after and he gets lots of applause. He definatley gives this scene everything he has everytime!
I encourage everyone to go see this show, if you are a fan from the start, a new Ace fan, or even if you aren’t familiar with him… you will NOT be disappointed! I promise.

Ace takes time to answer some questions for Playbill.com!
Ace talks about joining Grease, making Kenickie his own and more!
An excerpt from the interview:
Q: What do you bring to Kenickie?
Young: Kenickie is the testosterone backbone of the T-Birds. I get to be the counterpart of who I really am. Everybody knows I’m a nice guy from “Idol.” But Kenickie’s not. Kenickie is an ass. He’s blunt; he’s vulgar. His insecurity doesn’t show because he would put somebody else down before he’d let any of that show, which is true of a lot of kids in high school. When I was in high school, I felt a lot of the same stuff going on. I have to be kind of the darkest T-Bird in order for the other people to have their character roles. The darker I can take it, the better, so that Sonny is that much funnier and Danny is that much more lovable.

Ace’s 28th birthday is coming up on November 15 and here is how you can help wish him a happy birthday!
Hey everyone!
Ace’s birthday is coming up soon and we thought it would be nice to give him a gift from YV! We are asking for a $5 flat donation to help cover the costs of the care package. You can send the money to Tracy’s paypal djtino224@hotmail.com . Here is what is going to be in it:
Postcards
Stamps
Power Bars/similar snack
Hot Tamales
Restaurant guide (if he’s in the mood for something other than the deli or pizza )
Anti-bacterial hand gel and/or wipes
Packs of Trident gum (Tropical Twist)
Vitamin C
Zync cough drops
In addition…
For the other part of the project, we are going to put together a montage of pics of YV members wishing Ace a Happy Birthday. You could use a sign, a cake, a hat, a balloon, whatever, be creative. Or if you just want to have a pic of you or you and Ace, that would be great too.
The pictures have to be bigger than 400×600. AND, just ONE picture person! No money donations necessary for this part! You can send the pics to Sandy at njsas08@yahoo.com .
Also, any leftover money we have will go towards a Christmas care package for him.
The deadline for money AND pics is November 8th!
Thank you and have a Happy Halloween!
